AMAZONE opens new facility in El Dorado, KS

Hasbergen-Gaste, Germany/El Dorado, KS, USA

With the opening of a new facility in El Dorado, Kansas, the AMAZONE Group continues to expand its activities in North America. This new US location complements its existing commitments in the North American continent and strengthens the local presence in one of the most important agricultural regions in the United States.

AMAZONE has been represented in the North American market since the 1970s and enjoyed great success early on, selling tens of thousands of fertiliser spreaders under the EasyFlow and New Idea brand names in the USA. Building on this success, AMAZONE founded its subsidiary AMAZONE Inc. in Canada in 2016, with its North American business activities initially focusing on the Canadian market. Since then, agricultural machinery delivered by container from the AMAZONE production sites has been assembled in Québec and then shipped by truck within Canada and to the USA.

With the founding of AMAZONE USA Inc. in Delaware in 2021, AMAZONE has successfully expanded its activities in North America to include a direct presence in the USA. Today, more than 30 employees in Canada and the USA support local farmers and dealers, offer practical advice, and ensure close partnerships. The focus is on fertilisation and soil tillage products, for which AMAZONE machinery is in particularly high demand in the North American market. In addition, AMAZONE offers high impact solutions in crop protection and precision seeding that are tailored to the individual requirements of modern agriculture.

While final assembly in Québec remains an integral part of activities in North America, the opening of the new facility in El Dorado, Kansas marks a significant step in the company's further development. Despite the challenging market situation in the USA, AMAZONE is sending a clear signal for further growth and is investing specifically in strengthening its local presence. El Dorado is located in the heart of one of the most important agricultural regions in the United States. Thanks to its location directly on Interstate 35 between the metropolitan areas of Kansas City and Wichita, El Dorado has excellent transport links – both to the second-largest railway terminal in the USA and to several cargo airports. In addition, the region offers access to a labour market with technically well-trained specialists. These geographical advantages make El Dorado an ideal hub for logistics and future activities.

The new site covers a total area of 2.63 acres and includes a warehouse with around 2,800 m², of which approximately 150 m² is office space. The site will be used for the storage and shipping of AMAZONE agricultural machinery and spare parts for the entire US market, as well as for final assembly.

With this investment, AMAZONE is strengthening its market position in the United States and reaffirming its strategy of working even more closely with customers and trading partners. By combining technologically advanced machinery, short delivery routes and direct support, the company is creating the best conditions for successfully meeting the needs of North American farmers and dealers in the future.

AMAZONE presents its new wearing metal parts concept

Transparent classification for targeted product selection with practical benefits

With a new concept for classifying wearing metal parts, AMAZONE looks to make it easier in future for farmers and contractors to select the right product. In this respect, they are divided into three clearly defined categories: Original, Original HD and Original HD pro. This systematic approach provides transparent information on the respective benefits of each product and helps end users to select the right components for their specific operating conditions.

Original_sRGB_d0_20250827
Original quality standard

All AMAZONE parts meet the Original quality standard. They have been developed specifically for each respective implement and are designed to meet increased performance requirements. Thanks to the company's high level of vertical integration and the support of selected reliable suppliers, AMAZONE guarantees consistent premium quality and reliable functionality.

Original_HD_sRGB_d0_20250827
Original HD

The Original HD wearing metal parts are designed for particularly demanding operating conditions. They are reinforced with a hard metal coating which makes them extremely robust and extends the service life by up to 300%. Users who need high area coverage, or frequently work under difficult ground conditions, benefit from a longer service life and reduced downtime. AMAZONE offers the Original HD variant for components which are subject to heavy wear, such as the spreading vanes on fertiliser spreaders or tines for rotary cultivators. The hard-facing provides additional high-strength wear protection. This significantly increases the reliability in operation.

Original_HD_pro_sRGB_d0_20250827
Original HD Pro

The Original HD pro variant goes one step further. These have a service life which is up to 800% longer than that of the Original parts and offer maximum cost-effectiveness. Thanks to the use of extremely resistant tungsten carbide hard metal plates coupled with innovative manufacturing processes, HD pro parts are ideal for farms which demand high wear resistance and more efficiency. Consistent performance is ensured, even with intensive use under extreme conditions, such as heavy ground or in stony soils. The Original HD pro variant is used specifically for AMAZONE soil engaging machinery. Components which are subject to extremely heavy wear, such as shares or points, are available in this extra-durable design for a variety of product such as cultivators or ploughs. This means that farms benefit from the exceptional wear resistance and added efficiency of Original HD pro components, even during intensive soil tillage under difficult conditions.

The right wearing metal part variant is therefore available for every purpose – from standard applications to extreme conditions. The clear classification makes selection easier and ensures a better understanding of the product advantages. This enables every farm to find the optimum solution for its individual needs and to benefit from greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the long term.

International Press Days 2025 AMAZONE & KRONE

From September 2nd - 4th 2025, agricultural machinery manufacturers, AMAZONE and KRONE, invited selected guests to their joint International Press Days 2025. A total of 85 trade journalists from 26 countries accepted the invitation to gain an exclusive insight into the latest developments at both companies – ahead, even, of their official presentation at AGRITECHNICA in November 2025.

The three-day event kicked off at the brand new AMAZONE Academy in Hude-Altmoorhausen. The building was recently completed and officially inaugurated in mid-August. After a welcome extended by the two owners, Christian Dreyer and Dr Justus Dreyer, the afternoon was devoted entirely to specialist knowledge and machinery presentations. The AMAZONE team showcased over 30 new products in the course of an impressive presentation. The participants were then given an exclusive insight into the production processes and modern manufacturing techniques during a tour of the plant in Altmoorhausen.

On the second day, the focus shifted to practical demonstrations. The proximity of the trials areas to the factory in Altmoorhausen made it particularly convenient to hold the entire event in one location. During the machine demonstrations under practical field conditions, the participants were able to gain a comprehensive picture of the performance of the innovations presented and the technological expertise of the company. This was followed by a transfer to Spelle, around 100 kilometres away, where KRONE welcomed the journalists to its press event.

The event provided the participating journalists with an excellent platform for discovering the most important innovations from AMAZONE and KRONE at this early stage. The comprehensive programme of specialist presentations, machine demonstrations and personal exchanges with experts from both companies was very well received and made the event an all-round success.

AMAZONEN-WERKE expands its Academy

New training centre in Altmoorhausen officially opened

Altmoorhausen, 15 August 2025 – With the opening of a new training centre alongside its factory in Altmoorhausen, AMAZONEN-WERKE is setting another milestone in the continuous development of expertise and hands-on training. The modern building complements the existing training concept with a centrally located, technically well-equipped location with direct access to the surrounding farmland.

The new AMAZONE Academy training centre: plenty of space for the largest machinery means ideal conditions for practical training.

The spaciously designed building with a total area of 2,430 square metres offers the perfect conditions for training, particularly in the sphere of AMAZONE plant protection and large-area machinery. For example, the large, covered area enables AMAZONE crop protection sprayers with boom widths of up to 48 metres to be fully unfolded and presented – a major advantage which is extremely useful in poor weather conditions. The training areas will be equipped with representative cutting-edge machines, models and simulations. The close proximity to the outdoor training areas makes it possible to even more intensively integrate field work into the training sessions across all products. In addition to the presentation area, the new building includes a large reception area, classrooms and a general conference room for various events.

Official opening of the new AMAZONE Academy training centre. Participants (from left): Klaus Dreyer, Magdalene Dreyer, Konstanze Gottwald, Dr. Justus Dreyer, Christian Dreyer, Bettina Dreyer, Magnus Gottwald

The company set up its first training centre in Hude back in 2008 where it initially organised and implemented its service training. With the founding of the AMAZONE Academy in 2019, the portfolio was expanded to include sales training, meaning that, today, a comprehensive programme is available for various target groups. The Academy's central facilities are now located in Altmoorhausen and Hude. Supplementary training programmes take place at the main AMAZONE factory in Hasbergen-Gaste, as well as in the German sales subsidiaries and in cooperation with DEULA in Warendorf. The Academy also offers specific training courses for sales and service at AMAZONE's locations worldwide.

The people who develop, sell, maintain or use AMAZONE products take centre stage at the Academy. Sales and service partners benefit from targeted training for their sales staff and service technicians, whilst farmers and contractors are supported with practice-oriented driver training. Training courses are also organised regularly and held within the AMAZONE Group for employees from After Sales, Sales, Research and Development, Production and Quality Assurance.

Training courses are offered all year round. The majority of the courses take place between October and March and cover a wide range of topics – from machinery and service, spare parts, machine use and crop production through to maintenance, troubleshooting and sales-support argumentation. The content is taught by experienced AMAZONE trainers and external lecturers. The AMAZONE Academy currently employs 14 people, including technical trainers, sales trainers, content managers for managing service documentation and content creators for creating Smart Learning modules.

The Academy therefore represents a central building block for ensuring service quality and strengthening international competitiveness – practical, innovative and future-oriented. In addition to training sessions, the new premises will be used as a venue for events such as press conferences, sales partner days and other major events.
