AMAZONE ZG-TX: model update makes the combi spreader even more precise and versatile

Advanced features enhance precision, ease of use and extend the range of applications

With a comprehensive model update, AMAZONE is expanding the range of possibilities for the ZG-TX combi spreader. The new functions include an integrated weighing system and the FlowControl automatic spread rate regulation system for lime, which increases both the precision and the ease of use.

The AMAZONE ZG-TX has established itself as a high-performance combi spreader for the precise application of mineral fertiliser and lime. Individualised optional equipment for every application, combined with the ability to spread a wide variety of materials with high precision, makes it a versatile solution for larger farms, contractors and the machinery hire sector.

Precise weighing system for greater control in the field

An integrated weighing system is now available for accurate hopper fill level indication and the simple offline spread rate regulation of lime and mineral fertiliser. The weight is registered by means of two robust weigh cells positioned between the axle and the frame as well as via an additional sensor in the drawbar. The weight is clearly displayed on the ISOBUS terminal.

The weighing system supports fill level management when used in conjunction with optional the work lights. Flashing work lights indicate the hopper fill level and enable precise filling to the target weight. This helps reduce residual hopper volumes and make the work process more efficient.

Thanks to its integration in the ISOBUS software, the weighing system also allows for easy calibration of the spread rate for lime and mineral fertiliser. Once a known quantity has been applied, the weight in the hopper is checked and the calibration factor is calculated from this. Manual determination of the bulk density is not necessary. This means that a wide variety of spreading materials can now be precisely applied.

FlowControl for lime – Precise spread rate regulation via torque measurement

Another key feature of the model update is the FlowControl automatic spread rate regulation system for lime. Newly developed gearboxes now enable torque measurement, a familiar technique from fertiliser application, to be used for lime.

The desired application rate is entered and then FlowControl continuously adjusts the discharge automatically. This ensures a high degree of application rate accuracy, even with lime of varying quality.

Availability for various ZG-TX models

Both systems are now available for all ISOBUS-equipped ZG-TX models. This applies both to the ZG-TX Super, with a maximum permissible machine weight of 21 tonnes, and the ZG-TX Special with 12.5 tonnes.

This latest model update has enabled the ZG-TX to consolidate its position as a multi-functional combi spreader suitable for a wide range of operating situations. Operators benefit from a high degree of flexibility while ensuring the precise application of a variety of spreading materials.

New AMAZONE DFW 580 double flex ring roller for mounted implements

With the DFW 580 double flex ring roller, AMAZONE is expanding its range of packer rollers for the Cenio and Cenius mounted cultivators and for the Catros mounted compact disc harrows. Thanks to its open design and a ring spacing of 280 mm, the new roller is suitable for use in a wide range of applications and offers high operational reliability on both sandy and loamy soils.

The DFW 580 produces a high proportion of fine soil thanks to the continuous spring action of the rings and also provides effective reconsolidation while maintaining a loose soil surface. With a small central tube diameter of 140 mm and an outer diameter of 580 mm, the double flex ring roller offers excellent through-passage on light sandy soils.

The staggered arrangement of the rings guarantees the self-driving effect of the roller. This combination makes the double flex ring roller extremely reliable, especially on light soils. Solid flex rings offer the advantage, particularly for mounted implements, that they do not become clogged with soil, thereby preventing the weight of the roller from increasing. In addition, the solid rings reduce the carry-over of soil and weed seeds, thereby helping to improve field hygiene when working across different fields. Another advantage is the excellent self-cleaning effect created by the constant flexing of the rings. This ensures reliable operation, even in wet and sticky soil conditions.

The optional harrow system results in even finer crumbling and more intensive levelling of the soil. At the same time, the harrow system helps to improve weed control by pulling up emerging volunteer cereals and depositing them on the surface, where they shrivel up.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Good turning properties thanks to the 580 mm roller diameter
  • High load-bearing capacity thanks to the two roller bodies and sturdy flex rings
  • Suitable for varying soil types – from sandy to loamy
  • Deep reconsolidation while maintaining a loose soil surface
  • Excellent crumbling effect and excellent cleaning properties thanks to the constant flexing of the rings

Pantera 4504 with new generation cab and updated design

The Pantera 4504 self-propelled sprayer now features enhanced user comfort and comes as standard with LED work lights

AMAZONE has introduced an upgraded version of the Pantera 4504 self-propelled sprayer. The key feature is the introduction of a new generation of cab, which enhances driver comfort and further simplifies operation. This upgrade is complemented by an updated design and standard LED work lights.

New cab with ergonomic control concept

At the heart of the upgrade is the new cab with enhanced comfort features. It offers more space, improved sound insulation and a more modern interior design. The ergonomic layout generates a pleasant working environment and contributes to a high level of driver comfort during those long working hours.

A key component of the cab is the armrest. Developed in-house by AMAZONE, it is designed for even greater clarity and follows a straightforward operating concept with a deliberately small number of logically arranged buttons. All the main functions can be operated intuitively without the need to switch from multi-function joystick to other controls whilst driving. An integrated smartphone holder completes the practical features.

Three cab variants offering varying equipment levels

The Pantera 4504 will be available in future with 3 variants of cab. In addition to the standard cab with comfort seat, 2 versions with an integrated Cat. 4 filter system are on offer. Depending on the variant, equipment includes, amongst other things, leather comfort seat with seat heating and ventilation, a cool box, integrated footrests, fabric carpet and side sun blinds.

Standard LED work lights

With the new generation of cab, the work lights are being fully converted to LED. The LED work lights are standard and support safe and comfortable working in the dark, whilst improving the illumination of the working area.

Updated exterior in the latest AMAZONE design

The exterior appearance of the Pantera 4504 has also been further enhanced. A redesigned front apron, new side panels and a revised styling set give the implement a very modern look. Anthracite-coloured wheel rims emphasise the new look.

The technical basis of the Pantera

These innovations are complemented by the Pantera’s existing technical strengths. These include the lightweight machine design with even weight distribution for soil-friendly operation, and precise application thanks to the active ContourControl boom guidance, SwingStop vibration damping and the electric AmaSelect single-nozzle control. This ensures high productivity at working speeds of up to 30 km/h. An intelligent chassis design enhances driving comfort whilst minimising maintenance requirements and ensuring efficient fuel consumption.

AMATECHNICA 2026 attracts around 7,000 trade visitors from 43 countries

International in-house exhibition at AMAZONE’s headquarters, with a strong focus on communication and innovation.

Hasbergen-Gaste, 21/05/2026. AMATECHNICA showed off its best and once again demonstrated its international significance. Around 7,000 farmers, contractors and sales partners from 43 countries around the world attended the in-house exhibition at AMAZONE’s headquarters to discover the latest developments and innovations in agricultural machinery.

Using the theme ‘Ideas for our future’, AMAZONE presented a highly varied programme featuring product presentations, specialist information and plenty of opportunities for face-to-face discussions. The impressive ring demonstrations, featuring the latest products from Agritechnica and current innovations from all the areas of expertise within AMAZONE’s agricultural and groundcare machinery divisions, proved to be a particular crowd-puller. These included, for example, the ZA TS 01 AutoSpread self-adjusting fertiliser spreader and the Pantera 4504 self-propelled sprayer, featuring the new generation of comfort cabs. AMAZONE also provided more information about its recent partnership with CultiWise. The aim of this strategic partnership is further to simplify digital applications for smart farming and to make them even more precise by using satellite-based and, in particular, drone-based application maps.

A key feature of the event was the ‘Walk of Innovation’, which guided visitors through a host of key future topics in agriculture. Technological and digital solutions were presented that enable more efficiency and even more input-efficient management. Technical advisers from AMAZONE and numerous partner companies held in-depth discussions with the farmers, contractors and sales partners.

Another item on the agenda was the auction of little-used, second-hand AMAZONE machinery. The tight integration of the auction into the exhibition programme underscored AMATECHNICA’s holistic approach of bringing together technology, information and concrete investment opportunities. The auction raised around € 1 million.

The supplementary items on the programme were also all very well received. Factory tours, an extensive exhibition of machinery, and a vintage tractor show featuring around 120 historic tractors, offered further insights into technology and its development. In addition, many visitors made use of the shuttle service to visit the spare parts centre and used machinery centre in Tecklenburg-Leeden, as well as the Wambergen experimental farm, where pioneering agricultural concepts are being trialled. This is also home to AMAZONE’s own museum, which houses a large collection of exhibits from across various periods in the company’s history.

Presentations also provided technical insights, addressing current topics such as Precision Farming and digital solutions for improving efficiency, sustainability and user-friendliness in a practical manner. AMATECHNICA 2026 was rounded off with an evening event featuring a live band in the marquee.

AMAZONE is delighted with the overwhelmingly positive outcome of the 10th undertaking of this major international event and would like to thank everyone involved for their tremendous commitment and the fantastic response.

AMAZONE and CultiWise enter into a partnership to make smart farming simpler and more precise

New digital solutions enhance the benefits of AMAZONE implements and make smart farming noticeably simpler, faster and more cost-effective for farmers.

Hasbergen-Gaste, Brno – AMAZONE and CultiWise are entering into a strategic partnership to make smart farming more convenient, cost-effective and future-proof for farmers. At the heart of the collaboration lies a clear objective: digital, site-specific applications must work seamlessly and deliver immediate added value in the field. Seamless processes and efficiency gains when sowing, fertilising or spraying must be recognised as additional benefits in practice.

Schaubild_CultiWise_AMAZONE_V1_de

CultiWise is an innovative company that develops AI-supported satellite- and drone-based application maps as well as plant recognition solutions, offering a strong synergy with the AMAZONE portfolio. Farmers are set to benefit more quickly from these digital applications as well as the more precise utilisation of their machinery fleet making their methods of operation even more efficient. Both CultiWise and AMAZONE remain independent partners and continue to develop their solutions independently. This allows users to benefit from rapid innovation, openness and future-proofing, regardless of which brands are being used on the farm.

CultiWise offers a powerful, global online portal with AI models that maps all agronomic processes on the farm based on comprehensive training data. With a young and agile team from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, CultiWise has been at the forefront of current developments for years, including automated flight planning, image processing on the drone and the integration of fully automated drone docks.

In future, job data will be seamlessly created, transferred and implemented using AMAZONE technology. For the farmer, this means: less effort in preparation, simpler processes in daily operations and more efficient use of modern agricultural machinery. Turning smart farming into a practical solution.

The key benefit to the customer lies in the connection with AmaConnect – AMAZONE’s cloud-based data platform to create a digital bridge between planning, machine deployment and documentation. This provides AMAZONE customers with a decisive advantage: by intelligently linking the digital data from CultiWise application maps for fertilisation, sowing and plant protection to the AMAZONE applications in AmaConnect, the performance of modern agricultural machinery can be exploited even more effectively.

The added value of the collaboration is particularly evident in two examples:

In plant protection, innovative AMAZONE technology, such as the AmaSelect electric individual nozzle control system and the AmaXact nozzle system with pulse-width frequency modulation, only realise their full potential when used in conjunction with optimally prepared spot application maps. Calculating application rates in advance based on the technology available makes it significantly easier for farmers to carry out applications with precision and efficiency. The DirectInject direct injection system will be particularly beneficial for automated switching on the headland and variable application rates within the field.

Variable-rate maize sowing maps are widely recognised from an agronomic perspective, but they are still not commonly used in practice. Workflows involving the terminal and the implement are often a hindrance. With EasyTram, AMAZONE offers an automated tramline system, for the Precea precision seeder. As part of the collaboration between the two companies, customers can transfer both maps to the AmaTron 4 operator terminal via the AMATRON Share app in a seamless process.

The seamless integration of CultiWise and AmaConnect enhances the practical benefits of AMAZONE technology: data becomes available where it is needed, workflows are simplified, and digital precision can be integrated into daily practice without adding complexity. The partnership not only increases the benefits of individual functions but also further enhances the entire AMAZONE system in smart farming.

AMAZONE is therefore setting new standards in smart farming, which are expertly brought to market via the international dealer network. The close integration of high-performance agricultural machinery, an intelligent database and practical digital integration create clear added value for agricultural businesses – simple to use, precise in its effect and powerful in its results.
