New training centre in Altmoorhausen officially opened

Altmoorhausen, 15 August 2025 – With the opening of a new training centre alongside its factory in Altmoorhausen, AMAZONEN-WERKE is setting another milestone in the continuous development of expertise and hands-on training. The modern building complements the existing training concept with a centrally located, technically well-equipped location with direct access to the surrounding farmland.

The new AMAZONE Academy training centre: plenty of space for the largest machinery means ideal conditions for practical training.

The spaciously designed building with a total area of 2,430 square metres offers the perfect conditions for training, particularly in the sphere of AMAZONE plant protection and large-area machinery. For example, the large, covered area enables AMAZONE crop protection sprayers with boom widths of up to 48 metres to be fully unfolded and presented – a major advantage which is extremely useful in poor weather conditions. The training areas will be equipped with representative cutting-edge machines, models and simulations. The close proximity to the outdoor training areas makes it possible to even more intensively integrate field work into the training sessions across all products. In addition to the presentation area, the new building includes a large reception area, classrooms and a general conference room for various events.

The company set up its first training centre in Hude back in 2008 where it initially organised and implemented its service training. With the founding of the AMAZONE Academy in 2019, the portfolio was expanded to include sales training, meaning that, today, a comprehensive programme is available for various target groups. The Academy's central facilities are now located in Altmoorhausen and Hude. Supplementary training programmes take place at the main AMAZONE factory in Hasbergen-Gaste, as well as in the German sales subsidiaries and in cooperation with DEULA in Warendorf. The Academy also offers specific training courses for sales and service at AMAZONE's locations worldwide.

The people who develop, sell, maintain or use AMAZONE products take centre stage at the Academy. Sales and service partners benefit from targeted training for their sales staff and service technicians, whilst farmers and contractors are supported with practice-oriented driver training. Training courses are also organised regularly and held within the AMAZONE Group for employees from After Sales, Sales, Research and Development, Production and Quality Assurance.

Training courses are offered all year round. The majority of the courses take place between October and March and cover a wide range of topics – from machinery and service, spare parts, machine use and crop production through to maintenance, troubleshooting and sales-support argumentation. The content is taught by experienced AMAZONE trainers and external lecturers. The AMAZONE Academy currently employs 14 people, including technical trainers, sales trainers, content managers for managing service documentation and content creators for creating Smart Learning modules.

The Academy therefore represents a central building block for ensuring service quality and strengthening international competitiveness – practical, innovative and future-oriented. In addition to training sessions, the new premises will be used as a venue for events such as press conferences, sales partner days and other major events.
