1st place: Innovation Champions 2024

AMAZONE is the most innovative medium-sized company in Germany. This was the conclusion of a study conducted by Munich Strategy in conjunction with the magazine WirtschaftsWoche. In the recently determined ranking, the family-owned company Amazone was ranked number 1.

Double jubilee birthday celebration at AMAZONE

Father and son really were born on 7th May, one in 1934, the other in 1964, and together they have now reached the joint age of 150: Klaus Dreyer, former Managing Director of Amazonen-Werke is part of the third generation of the family, and his son Christian Dreyer, current Chairman of the Board and owner is in the fourth generation.

Brazilian fertiliser spreader specialist MP AGRO becomes part of the AMAZONE Group

Agricultural machinery manufacturer AMAZONE is pleased to announce that, subject to official approval, the Brazilian fertiliser spreader specialist MP AGRO will become part of the AMAZONE Group. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for both companies and signals a further step in its internationalisation and the growth of the AMAZONE Group in South America.

140 years of AMAZONE: “Ideas for our future”

When Heinrich Dreyer founded the company “H. Dreyer Factory for Agricultural Machinery and Equipment” in Gaste near Osnabrück on May 1st 1883, he was not to know that Amazone would eventually develop into one of the leading global manufacturers of agricultural machinery. This family-owned company has been offering innovative products to farmers for 140 years now.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our shareholder, and longstanding CEO of the Amazone Group, Prof. h.c. Dr. Dr. h.c. Heinz Dreyer on 17 February 2023, at the age of 90.

AMAZONE acquires a stake in the start-up AgXeed

The AMAZONE Group has strengthened its development cooperation with the Dutch start-up company, AgXeed B.V., by taking a financial interest in the company. With this intensification of what is already a successful cooperation, AMAZONE becomes a strategic partner of the start-up company, AgXeed. The aim of the partnership is to further develop AMAZONE mounted implements with regard to their autonomous use in the field.

Prof. h.c. Heinz Dreyer, the Managing Director of Amazonen-Werke for many years, celebrated his 90th birthday on 19th February. He helped to build up the company as the third generation of the Dreyer families involved and played a significant role in developing it into the global agricultural machinery specialist in modern crop production.

For the 2020 financial year, the AMAZONE Group exceeded a sales revenue of 500 million Euros. The agricultural and groundcare machinery manufacturer achieved a 15% increase in sales worldwide, compared to the previous year.

A successful start: New Global Parts Center sets the course for the future

At the beginning of this year, Amazonen-Werke began commissioning the new spare parts centre at the Tecklenburg-Leeden plant. Going forwards, a considerably extended storage capacity with warehouse space of approximately 11,000 m² and outdoor space of 9,000 m² is available for more than 42,000 different spare parts.

AMAZONE and AGRAVIS start a joint agricultural pilot project, Controlled Row Farming (CRF)

In collaboration with AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG and SCHMOTZER Hacktechnik, AMAZONEN-WERKE will start new long-term field trials in 2020. In the 2017 financial year, the Amazone Group has grown yet again with the consolidated total turnover, without taking the trading volume into consideration, going up to 457 million €. Amazone further ahead in the DLG Image Barometer

In the recently published image assessment of companies from the agricultural sector, the DLG 2017 Image Barometer, Amazone again performed excellently. With 49 points, the company is again in 4th place in the agricultural machinery sector and thus emerges as best amongst the assessment of the other medium-sized implement manufacturers. The first three places are taken by the companies: Fendt (58 points), Claas (56 points) and John Deere (52 points).

Max-Eyth-Medallion for Dr.-Ing. Rainer Resch

In November, 2017, on the occasion of the 75th international Land.Technik AgEng conference in Hanover, Dr. Eng. Rainer Resch, from Amazonen-Werke, enjoyed a very special award. Thank you for visiting Amazone!

Around 450,000 specialised visitors, more than 100,000 of them from abroad, visited the Agritechnica trade show in Hanover from 12th to 18th November, 2017. The influx of visitors on the 1,700 m² Amazone Stand in Hall 9 was bigger than ever before. Groundbreaking ceremony for the new Amazone factory in Bramsche

In the Schleptrup industrial area near Bramsche, Amazonen-Werke has started on the build of its new production facility. The official initiation was given on August 31st, 2017 with a symbolic first ground-breaking ceremony. Even though the rain poured down, it did not spoil the good mood. Amongst the guests present was the County commissioner of Osnabrück district, Dr. Michael Lübbersmann as well as Heiner Pahlmann, Mayor of the town of Bramsche.

Amazone: Slight turnover increase in 2016

For the 2016 financial year, the Amazone Group achieved a turnover of 406 million Euros. In comparison with the previous year, at 402 million Euros, it means that the turnover was thus slightly higher. At the same time, this result is above average against the other German agricultural machinery manufacturers, which, according to the VDMA, registered in 2016 a drop in turnover of 2 %.

DLG Image Barometer 2016: Again top rating for Amazone

In the DLG Image Barometer 2016 Amazonen-Werke again came out superbly well. With 50 points the company gained the 4th place against all agricultural machinery manufacturers represented in Germany. So, Amazone again is the best among the implement manufacturers of the Image Barometer. The first three positions were filled by the companies Fendt (60 points) and Claas and John Deere with 57 and 53 Points.

Christian Dreyer elected as new Chairman of the VDMA Agricultural Machinery Association

Frankfurt, October 12, 2016 - Christian Dreyer is new Chairman of the industry association VDMA Agricultural Machinery. The manufacturers of agricultural machinery and tractors organized in the VDMA unanimously elected the 52-year old CEO of Amazonen-Werke H. Dreyer GmbH & Co. KG as the successor of Dr. Hermann Garbers, who retired after two successful terms of office.

The Amazone Group has purchased the plough production facility of the company Vogel & Noot based in Mosonmagyaróvár, Hungary. As part of a bidding consortium, a total of three investors were awarded major parts of the Vogel & Noot Group on September 19th 2016.

2015: Amazone - strong despite the weak market situation

In the 2015 financial year the Amazone Group achieved a turnover of 402 million € (excluding trading turnover) meaning that Amazone has performed well despite of the declining markets. In comparison with the previous year, the 2015 result, with a decrease of 3.5 %, exceeds the original expectations.

Amazone Group donates 35,000 Euros towards the World Hunger Aid ('Welthungerhilfe') Project.

As a corporate partner, Amazonen-Werke is supporting the 'Welthungerhilfe' Project "Sustainable integrated agriculture in India". Initially, with a donation of 10,000 Euros handed over to the charity in the middle of 2014 and then this additional cheque, of 35,000 Euros, which was handed over in Hasbergen-Gaste on 18th December, 2015 by the Amazone general manager Christian Dreyer, his wife Bettina Dreyer, and the personnel manager René Hüggelmeyer to Vera Schernus...

Call for the “Innovation Award 2015”

This year the Amazone Foundation again will award two outstanding scientific degree thesis the "Innovation Award 2015" and attractive monetary prizes. Those young scientists can apply for whose bachelor or master thesis have a relation to agriculture. In addition the dissertation should deal with innovative themes in the range of system- or machine technology, the production of agricultural machinery or their sale and service.

DLG image barometer 2015: Top rating for Amazone

In the DLG Image Barometer 2015 Amazonen-Werke again came out superbly well. With 52 points the company gained 4th place against all agricultural machinery manufacturers represented in Germany. The first three positions were filled by the companies Fendt (60 points) and Claas and John Deere with each 54 points. In the total ranking, Amazone even improved its position in comparison with the 2014 result by 2 points and thus increased its image overall.
