Amazone honoured with Foreign Trade Award
At the Hannover Messe (Hanover trade exhibition), Amazonen-Werke has been honoured with the foreign trade award 2019 by the Lower Saxony economic minister Dr. Bernd Althusmann. This is the tenth time that the Lower Saxony foreign trade award has been given. The jury justified its decision in granting first place in the category ‘large businesses’ this year to Amazone because of their long export tradition and their continuing export success: “The company can look back on more than 100 years of export success and is represented in 70 countries worldwide. Due to its international trading, Amazone has created 75 new jobs in Lower Saxony during the last three years. Moreover, the company is particularly engaged in climate protection and also supports a diverse range of research projects.”
At the award ceremony at the trade exhibition, Minister Althusmann placed particular emphasis on the special economic potential of the award winners. “Worldwide trade barriers and thus additional challenges for the export sector are increasing. Nevertheless, Lower Saxony businesses in general have still achieved very good export results in comparison to the previous year. This level of performance and assertiveness impresses me very much and, because of this, the exporting companies are important trendsetters for the economic development of our federal state.”
The prize rewards the work of Amazone employees
“We are extremely pleased to be honoured with this Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award”, declared the Amazone general management, “And the prize rewards the daily work of our excellently trained and highly-motivated employees who, based on our long-term company strategy, ensure that we are successful again and again in the battle against strong international competition.”
