State-of-the-art engine technology – the standard of the future, right now

The use of high-quality components, such as robust diesel engines, are a characteristic feature of these professional machines. Thanks to the modern exhaust gas treatment with recirculation and particle filter, no DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) is required.

AMAZONE Cooling-System – the clever cooling system

The AMAZONE ProfiHopper is fitted as standard with a self-cleaning, air-cooling system, that removes the build-up from the radiator grill of any plant residues that collect there, this is especially important when mulching.

The economical powerhouse - with automated engine management for the ProfiHopper 1500 and ProfiMower

Maximum power is available directly at all times thanks to the automated engine management system on the ProfiHopper 1500, ProfiHopper 1500 Cab, and ProfiMower. However, the engine works efficiently and economically when maximum power is not needed.

To make the most of the engine’s power, a distinction is made between transport mode, work mode, and the all-new ECO mode meaning fuel consumption is optimised whilst ensuring optimum power utilisation.

ECO mode

In ECO mode, the rotor is driven at a reduced speed of 2500 rpm, and the revs of the diesel engine are at just 2000 rpm. This saves fuel and reduces the noise level by up to 4.5 dB. The ECO mode is ideal for collecting leaves and for mowing under easy conditions.

The benefits:

  • Fast work and transport speeds.
  • ECO mode for reduced fuel consumption and large-capacity fuel tank give long working periods.
  • Modern exhaust gas treatment without DEF.

Large fuel tanks – for those long, long days

Large fuel tanks, with a capacity of 40 l on the ProfiHopper 1250, and 55 l on the ProfiHopper 1500, ProfiHopper 1500 Cab and the ProfiMower guarantee uninterrupted operation, even throughout long working days and long periods of use: less downtime, greater output, more flexibility.

Maximum forward speed in transport mode

The engine revs are determined exclusively by the forward speed in transport mode. Maximum forward speed is 20 km/h.

Increased performance in work mode

In work mode, the engine speed is increased to 2,800 rpm. The driving speed is then limited to 11 km/h. The perfect interaction of drive and engine power allows maximum work rates of up to 15,000 m² per hour, thanks to the 1.50 m cutting width.

The intelligent all-wheel drive system

4WDi all-wheel drive

Equipped with intelligent 4WDi all-wheel drive, the speeds of the four driven wheels are individually controlled depending on the steering wheel position and the forward speed. The machine actuates the drive to the steered rear wheels only when the front wheels need this assistance. The system functions both when going forwards and when in reverse.

"The standard-size rear wheels turn by almost 90° with or without all-wheel drive – the machine is therefore easily manoeuvrable and almost turns on the spot.”
(profi test report ProfiHopper 1250 – 09/2020)

Benefits of the 4WDi technology

  • 0-radius turn steering.
  • Increased safety with maximum manoeuvrability.
  • Also suitable for difficult operating conditions, such as when slipping on wet ground or when working on sloping terrain.
  • All-wheel drive only when necessary: this reduces fuel consumption and protects the environment.

Safe on any terrain – even under difficult operating conditions

Also, when working under difficult operating conditions – for example, when slipping on wet ground or when working on sloping terrain – the operator benefits from the intelligent four-wheel drive in particular. The danger of slippage is minimised because every wheel is driven at all times at the optimum speed. This results in greater safety and improved operational performance, for example, fewer wheel marks on lawns.
