The cutting deck and conveyor section work hand in hand: the heart of the ProfiHopper

The mowing deck and conveyor section are at the heart of the ProfiHopper, which, as a fine-flail mower, enables a significantly better mowing quality and better cutting performance than conventional cylinder or rotary mowers, whilst significantly reducing noise levels.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The wing blades on the SmartCut exact cut rotor - arranged in a chevron format - tirelessly cut the material with millimetre precision at the set cutting height. After collection, the cuttings - grass, wildflowers, leaves, or other material - are transported to the central longitudinal auger by the cross auger in the PowerCompactor system.

 

 

 

 

 

This is where the PowerCompactor shows its greatest strength: the cuttings are tightly consolidated during their transport to the rear collection hopper. Due to this compaction by the PowerCompactor, around 45 % more cuttings can be packed into the collection hopper. The ProfiHopper 1250, with a hopper capacity of 730 l, can hold around 1,000 l of compacted cuttings, while the ProfiHopper 1500, with a hopper capacity of 1,100 l, can hold around 1,600 l of compacted cuttings. Compared to mowers without any compaction, the effective collection hopper capacity is significantly increased. The result: even less downtime, even more convenience and comfortable working.

 

 

The conveyor section of the ProfiHopper operates without the need for a blower fan or any air assistance. A highly robust, durable solution that reliably prevents any damage to the machine due to its mechanical overload safety device and electronic monitoring, whilst noise and dust generation are reduced as far as possible. Low-noise, largely dust-free operation with maximum impact and a precise profile of cut - convenient and user-friendly. The mower is in a completely different performance class.

If necessary, the mulch flap can be fitted without the need for any tools. The mown and shredded cut material is then returned to the mown area. The BladeCut rotary mowing deck can also be fitted as an option on the ProfiHopper 1500 and ProfiHopper 1500 Cab. Both mowing decks, depending on the specific application, can be swapped over for optimum flexibility,.

Compared with either rotary or cylinder mowers, the ProfiHopper and the ProfiMower, with the SmartCut fine-flail mowing deck operate extremely reliably, thanks to its design, even at markedly longer cutting heights. Both in short and long grass, the machines provide a superb profile of cut - in virtually all weathers and vegetation coverage.

Machines fitted with the BladeCut rotary mowing deck are particularly suited to shorter grass.

The AMAZONE mowing and scarifying system is your guarantor for well-groomed lawns. Whether the sun is shining, or the early morning dew is still on the grass – work gets going. The ProfiHopper does not care if the grass is wet, exceptionally tall or dense – it always produces first class results.

The blades of grass are cut and repeatedly chopped by the SmartCut fine-flail cutting deck. The design of the ProfiMower without a hopper, and the mulch flap on the ProfiHoppers, enable the cuttings to be spread over a wide area, so that the nutrients are returned to the soil.

Machines fitted with the SmartCut fine-flail mowing deck can also be used for scarifying. The scarifying knives, which are quickly attached without tools, slit the turf and thin out the lawn’s surface. Thatch is removed, collected and at the same time the surface is rolled. The scarifying and the improved light, air, water and nutrient exchange result in a significant improvement to the soil structure.

• Mowing and scarifying in a single pass.

The excellent suction provided by the ProfiHopper means that almost everything, such as dead leaves, chestnuts and acorns, is collected. This ensures optimum utilisation of the collection hopper capacity. In addition, the shredding of the leaves by the rotating blades speeds up their decomposition. Often in the spring, autumn leaves remain covering the ground and the grass can only grow with difficulty. To improve and aid that grass growth, those leaves can be collected, and the lawn aerated in a single pass by simply adding in the scarifying blades.

The ProfiHopper auger system is not sensitive to foreign objects, so the collection of cans, paper and other rubbish lying around in parks and leisure areas is no problem for the ProfiHopper.

• In practise, the ProfiHopper is highly appreciated by livery owners. The ProfiHopper mows patches of rank grass and any horse droppings are reliably collected. Healthy animals thanks to clean paddocks.

The blades, made from durable special-purpose steel, ensure minimal wear and tear. In addition, the blade system is resistant to foreign objects because each blade is suspended independently. The blades of the SmartCut cutting deck can be replaced very easily without the need for tools, which also saves time.
