AMAZONE SEED DRILLS – THE PERFECT CHOICE
The perfect choice – AMAZONE harrow-mounted seed drills for true professionals
Professionals farmers need reliable, high-performance machinery. The aim: precise, high-quality seeding at high speeds, combined with user-friendly operation. The soil tillage tools, rollers, coulters and harrows from AMAZONE that form the basis of the Centaya and Avant seed drills deliver exactly that – high-performance seed drill combinations and the perfect choice for professional farmers.
- High-performance soil tillage tools for a variety of applications: optimal seedbed preparation is done using the KG rotary cultivator, the KE rotary harrow or the CombiDisc mounted compact disc harrow.
- Reconsolidation: a choice of wedge ring or trapezium ring rollers ensure ideal reconsolidation in strips.
- QuickLink: the QuickLink quick-coupling system makes it easy to hitch and unhitch the soil tillage tool, roller and seed drill, thereby significantly reducing machine downtime.
- Choice of coulter: high-performance RoTeC single disc or TwinTeC double disc coulters place the seed and/or starter fertiliser precisely in the soil, ensuring uniform field emergence.
- Operation: operation is simple and intuitive, either directly on the implement via the SmartCenter or from the tractor cab using the AmaTron 4 ISOBUS terminal. The implements can be quickly and easily adjusted to suit changing conditions.
- Multi-chamber hoppers: various metered materials can be placed in the seed furrow, either simultaneously, or at different depths using the Multi-Shoot process.
Whatever the application, our innovative seed drill combinations provide you with the ideal tailor-made, professional solution. We will be pleased to advise you.

Reconsolidation in strips
Reconsolidation in strips using a trapezium ring roller or wedge ring roller leaves unconsolidated strips in between the seed rows. In wet conditions, these allow water to infiltrate (1) and facilitate a gas exchange with deeper layers (2). The consolidated strips allow the seed to access water from deeper in the soil = without fully restoring the soil’s capillary action, thereby preventing water from evaporating unnecessarily through the soil surface (3). This is how you can ensure successful seeding and germination, even in adverse conditions!
Maximum cost-effectiveness with high operational reliability
HD pro wearing metal parts, such as the " on-grip” KG tines for the rotary cultivator, are protected with additional hard metal plates made of tungsten carbide to guarantee maximum service life.
TRW trapezium ring roller with Ø 500 mm or Ø 600 mm
- Good carrying ability
- Reconsolidation in strips
KW wedge ring roller with Ø 520 mm or Ø 580 mm
- Universal use in all soils and conditions
- Reconsolidation in strips
KWM wedge ring roller with Matrix tyre profile with Ø 600 mm
- Generates more fine soil in the seedbed
- For an improved self-driving effect
- Reconsolidation in strips
First sow cereals, then maize
QuickLink quick coupling system
Thanks to the QuickLink quick-coupling system, the soil tillage implement can be easily and quickly linked to the various AMAZONE seed drills without the need for tools.
Avant becomes Precea, and Precea becomes Avant
Turn your Avant seed drill combination into a Precea precision air seeder with FTender! The QuickLink quick-coupling system enables the Avant and Precea-AFCC seed rails to be easily exchanged. An FTender, soil tillage implement and choice of seed rails can be turned into 2 high-quality combinations for all high-volume and precision sown crops – for maximum flexibility and cost effectiveness.

Multi-chamber seed drills being utilised at the Wambergen trials centre
Maximilian Wilp, head of the AMAZONE trials centre
"We test innovative establishment systems at our trials centre in Wambergen. For example, we are conducting trials with a focus on pin-point fertilisation, companion planting and seeders with FertiSpot in oil seed rape, a tramline system with EasyTram in oats or maize and looking ways of reducing herbicide use in wheat. We have also tested different seed row widths in wheat, intercropping of cereals and legumes, Controlled Row Farming and much more across the demonstration field trials as well as the replica trials.
We use the versatile Centaya 3000-C Super with GreenDrill on the trial site. Thanks to the high degree of flexibility offered by three distributor heads and three different placement depths, we are able to gear up our trials to offer much more flexibility.
The last few years have been very wet, so we have used RoTeC single disc coulters, along with a rotary cultivator and a wedge ring roller giving reconsolidation in strips. This works really well! Thanks to the self-cleaning capability of the RoTeC single disc coulter, we can get out into the fields "earlier" in the year – and sow "later" in the autumn.
The seed drill’s multi-chamber hopper system enables us to apply different materials at different placement depths, e.g. white clover as a companion crop for winter wheat in our Controlled Row Farming system."

New: multiple metered materials using the Multi-Shoot process
MultiShoot – the simultaneous application of more than one seed type or fertiliser at either the same entry point or different entry points in the soil – can be a powerful tool for yield-guaranteeing, future-oriented arable farming.
Advantages of Multi-Shoot:
No de-mixing for ideal plant distribution of the various crops in just one pass. Under-root fertilisation offers high nutrient efficiency, as it is applied directly into the future root zone.
Single-Shoot:
2 or 3 metered materials placed at a single depth using, for instance, the Centaya-C Special or Avant
Double-Shoot:
2 or more metered materials placed at 2 depths using, for instance, the Centaya-C Super
Triple-Shoot:
3 or more metered materials placed at 3 depths using, for instance, the Centaya-C Super and GreenDrill
