25 years ago, AMAZONE revolutionised shallow soil tillage with its new Catros compact disc harrow. A whole new class of implement was created, becoming an integral part of modern agriculture.

The Catros compact disc harrow is perfect for shallow and intensive stubble cultivation. The low pulling power requirement, combined with a huge range of working widths and high forward speeds, provide scope for enormous work rates and yet minimal fuel consumption.
Smart Frame System
Easy adjustment of the working depth
Always correctly adjusted
- The coupled disc carriers are rotated around their own axis by a hydraulic cylinder. At the minimum working depth, the discs are fully swung in towards the frame; at maximum working depth, they are swung fully away from the frame.
- The working depth of the leading tool is also adjusted independently in a similar way.
- The adjustment of the rear harrow and the leading tool is unaffected by the working depth adjustment of the discs, as the main frame always remains parallel to the ground.
Disc suspension and face seal
No lubrication ever again – thanks to maintenance-free disc bearings
With no need to lubricate the disc bearings, this results in a significantly reduced overall maintenance time. The face seal has been used in AMAZONE tillage equipment for almost 25 years, and has, over this period, more than proven itself.
Perfect – the individual discs suspension
The elastic sprung rubber buffer blocks for suspending the discs, not only ensure optimum contour following, but also act as overload safety protection on each individual disc. The oversized rubber buffer blocks are maintenance-free.
ContourFrame – optimally adapted
ContourFrame
The multi-part frame design of the Catros 2TX enables it to adapt perfectly to the ground contours. Each individual segment can individually follow the field surface. This increases the smooth running and the quality of work, especially on uneven terrain.
Advantages of ContourFrame
- The consistent depth of tillage ensures that weeds and volunteer cereals are not buried, thereby creating optimal germination conditions
- Thanks to the pre-pressure in the hydraulic system, the segments work very evenly, even in hard soils
Incorporating slurry effectively – the Catros pro
SynCult slurry distributor
The Catros pro can be combined with the SynCult slurry distributor DosiMat DMX from Vogelsang. The distributor and hoses of the slurry system are permanently mounted on the adapter frame. The hoses are guided by springs and appropriate brackets, ensuring high durability – even after many folding operations and hours of use.
