Catch crops can be destroyed with the Cobra in spring, the organic matter being shredded by the knife roller to improve decomposition and prevent blockages.
There is a plenty of work for the Cobra in summer: with the first pass, capillarity is broken which conserves water and encourages volunteer cereals to germinate. In the second pass, for mechanical weed control, the roots of weeds are undercut across the full working width and brought to the surface. The roots are dragged out from the soil by the harrow and left to dry out in the sun.
Not just in autumn, but also in the spring, the Cobra can be used to prepare the perfect seedbed by producing fine soil through its intensive crumbling, before levelling and then reconsolidation via the rollers.
