Mechanical weed control and seedbed preparation

Mechanical weed control – TopCut with harrow:

  • Weeds are pulled out of the soil by the harrow.
  • Weed roots are pulled up with the harrow and loosely spread over the surface.
  • Insufficient soil contact causes the exposed plants to
  • dry out quickly.

Seedbed preparation – TopCut with packer rollers

The cutting roller combination produces fine soil and the ground is reconsolidated with the KWM wedge ring roller with Matrix tyre profile or DW disc roller – the ideal seedbed.
Optimum germination conditions for the cash crop or volunteer seeds and weed seeds in a stale seedbed scenario.
