Cenio mounted cultivator
The new lightweight and universal mounted cultivator from 3 m to 4 m
With the Cenio, AMAZONE is launching a new 3-row compact mounted cultivator onto the market at this year’s Agritechnica 2019. As the "little brother" of the Cenius, Cenio, designed as a light, but universal mulch cultivator, rounds off the bottom end of the AMAZONE product range for 3-point linkage mounted cultivators. The cultivator is available in working widths of 3 m, 3.5 m and 4 m in rigid execution and as in Special variant with shear bolt overload safety protection and as in Super variant with compression spring overload safety protection. The Cenio can be used with tractor horsepowers from 105 and 190 hp r. Despite its extremely robustly constructed frame, the Cenio requires significantly lower lifting power in comparison with other cultivators. This makes it the ideal soil tillage tool for small to medium tractors.
The Cenio can be used at a range of working depths from 5 to 25 cm for shallow stubble cultivation as well as for medium-deep incorporation or deep-loosening soil tillage. Thanks to a wide range of equipment options, the mulch cultivator can be adapted to a wide range of operational conditions.
Flexible mounting
The Cenio offers a high degree of flexibility, even when attaching the cultivator to the tractor. This suits the end user who has two different categories of coupling points for both the top link and the lower links. As a result, the ideal pull point and a sufficiently large lift height can always be achieved; even with smaller tractors. In addition, the Category 3 lower link pins can be swivelled either inwards or outwards in order to switch quickly between the standard dimensions of Category 3 or 3N.
The tine element - ideal for soil loosening and the incorporation of crop residues
The Cenio has a tine spacing of 30 cm. In this way, the machine works without any blockages, even where copious amounts of harvest residues prevail, reliably mixing the existing organic matter into the soil. For the Cenio Special variant, the cultivator is equipped with shear bolt overload safety protection. In the case of the Cenio Super, on the other hand, the overload safety protection consists of a new automatic stone safety release system, which is constructed with a 450 kg trip force thus coping with the highest demands in this sector. This ensures that the working depth is always maintained, even under dry and harsh conditions.
The tines of the Cenio mulch cultivator have the legs familiar from Cenius. And, due to that special shape of leg, which gently lifts the ground at the point and does not switch to a steep angle of attack until the guide plate area is reached, the Cenio, on the one hand, operates very smoothly, thereby saving fuel. However, on the other hand, this leg shape also produces an excellent mixing behaviour, which means that any harvest residues are optimally mixed into the soil. Depending on the application, all the well-known share variants from the Cenius are available as soil engaging metal. The machine can therefore be used both for full-surface cutting of stubble, e.g. with the 350 mm C-Mix wing share, and for deeper cultivation with a working depth up to 25 cm, e.g. with the 80 mm C-Mix share. The convenient C-Mix Clip share quick-change system is also available for the Cenio.
The working depth of the tine element is adjusted mechanically on the machine or, alternatively, hydraulically from the tractor cab, whereby a clearly readable scale provides the driver with good orientation. With this equipment, it is possible to react very quickly and conveniently to different situations during work. For example, tramlines or headland can be processed more deeply without having to get down from the tractor.
A level soil profile thanks to spring steel tine levellers or levelling discs
Various options are available to the customer for levelling the soil behind the tines. As a result, the Cenio can be equipped with spring steel levelling tines, which can contour follow thanks to the spring suspension and can also avoid obstacles. The spring steel levelling tines level the soil behind the tines again so that a uniform ground surface is created so that the following roller produces a uniform reconsolidation.
When working where there is a very high proportion of harvest residues, fine-serrated concave discs, with a diameter of 410 mm, are available for the levelling unit. Due to the fine serrations, these discs have a very high self-driving effect and, at the same time, a good crumbling effect. The discs are equipped with maintenance-free bearings, eliminating the need for complex maintenance work involving having to climb into the machine.
The adjustment of the levelling unit can be performed very easily either manually by inserting the pin into a hole on either side of the machine or automatically by changing the working depth of the cultivator for maximum adjustment comfort. The levelling unit is connected to the frame by means of a mechanism in such a way that the working depth of the levelling unit automatically adjusts with a change to the working depth of the cultivator.
The height of the side levelling elements are adjustable separately. This achieves an absolutely level working profile, even on the joint between bouts.
Extensive reconsolidation roller range
For reconsolidation, customers can choose the ideal roller from 10 different roller types which are unique in their operation. The rollers are connected to the cultivator by means of clamps with the tried and tested quick-change system so that the roller can be replaced quickly for matching to variable soil types. Depending on the roller, the spectrum of optional equipment includes various harrow systems.
If catch crops need to be sown directly into broken up stubble, the cultivator can be equipped with the GreenDrill 200 universal catch crop seeder box on request.
