Agrosalon 2018: Gold and silver for AMAZONE innovations

Amazone is the only foreign manufacturer to be awarded, not just one medal, but two at the upcoming Russian Agrosalon 2018 exhibition. In total, 70 innovations from the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery were presented in the competition and 16 of them were recognised as the best. The most important criteria for the assessment were the importance of the innovation for practical application balanced with the scope for improvement in efficiency, work facilitation and, of course, conservation of resources. The innovation awards will be presented in October, 2018, from the 9th to 12th at the Agrosalon exhibition in Moscow.

Gold medal for WindControlWith a gold medal, Amazone achieves the highest award for its WindControl system. WindControl works alongside the ArgusTwin spread fan monitoring system but takes it to a further level of sophistication. Via ArgusTwin, the complete spread fan is constantly monitored via 14 radar sensors across both the right and left hand side discs and, if necessary, the electrical delivery system is readjusted to optimise the lateral distribution. By adding the WindControl system, the influence of wind on the spread pattern can be determined and balanced out. Currently, the TS spreading system provides the only automatic adjustment system for mounted and trailed fertiliser spreaders that takes into consideration the effect of wind on fertiliser distribution. Both wind speed, and its direction, are constantly monitored via the sensor and, by means of this data, the setting values for both the delivery system and the speed of the spreading discs can be automatically readjusted in such a way that precise lateral distribution is achieved even under the influence of wind.

Silver medal for Comfort-Pack plus
Amazone is awarded the silver medal for Comfort-Pack plus which is available as an option on the new UX 01 Super trailed sprayer. All machines equipped with Comfort-Pack plus have a 7” touch-enabled function through which operation of the complete liquid circuit.is carried out .This pressure-sensitive Touch Terminal can be operated even with gloves. From the terminal, the operator just selects the desired function and, via electric valves, the sprayer automatically adjusts itself. In addition, two different filling profiles to suit individual operators and applications can be stored. Then, just the filling hose has to be coupled and the machine fills itself up to the desired fill level. With regard to complicated spray agent tank mixes, the driver can also operate with relevant fill pauses. After finishing work, automatic cleaning of the complete sprayer is possible and, in addition, the induction bowl will automatically rinse itself after each filling process. Automatic agitator regulation and deactivation is also within the scope of Comfort-Pack plus.

In combination with Comfort-Pack plus, constant cleaning is also possible with the aid of the optional hydraulic rinse water pump.
