GPS-Switch for Avant

Accurate placement of the seed

After the success of the GPS-Switch system on fertiliser spreaders and sprayers, sowing now is the focus for the use of this technology. The switching on and off of the electric metering system is controlled via GPS. In this way, the stress on the driver is reduced and an improvement in the operational performance is achieved especially in small fields with many headland turns.

GPS-Switch controls, dependent on the position of the seed drill and the adjustments by the driver, the switch-on and off points of the electric metering unit of the Avant. In this way, for the 6 m Avant, control of 3 m sections is possible via the switching off of one electric metering unit.

In this way, during practical operation, the often found over or under-sown areas in critical spots, such as on the headland or in wedges can be minimised. Sowing ‘gaps’ are now things of the past! The driver can concentrate fully on driving and operate the drill independently to achieve a neat transition.

Saving seed and higher work rates: The classic method of raising the drill to switch it off leaves some seed on the surface, and this is avoided by using GPS-Switch. The applied seed is therefore placed more accurately. For a better optimisation of the switch-on and switch-off points, AMAZONE recommends RTK accuracy.

The future today: Sowing maps, in which the seed rate can be adjusted to the individual conditions in the field, such as hills and hollows or changes in soil type, are also becoming increasingly popular. As a special option for AmaTron 3, Task Controller, or GPS-Maps, allows the simple utilisation of seed application maps. Standardised file formats can be imported into the system which is then implemented fully automatically. A graphic display of the map in the background offers a good overview.

  1. Virtual headland
  2. Field application maps for different seed rates are also possible
  3. Worked area
  4. Precise automatic shut-off of the Avant

GPS-Maps&Doc

GPS-Maps&Doc offers field-related and geo-referenced documentation via Task Controller. Scheduled ISO-XML jobs can be processed or created via Task Controller. You can start working straight away and decide later whether the data should be saved or not. Application maps can be processed in the ISO-XML or Shape file format.

GPS-Switch

With GPS-Switch automatic part-width section control, AMAZONE can offer GPS-based, fully automatic part-width section control for all AMAZONE operator terminals and ISOBUS-compatible fertiliser spreaders, crop protection sprayers and seed drills.

GPS-Track

The GPS-Track parallel driving aid proves to be an enormous help in orientation within the field, especially on grassland. It features both A-B line and contour line driving track modes. The wheelings are clearly numbered. The deviation from the optimum track is shown graphically in the display.

AmaCam

Thanks to the AmaCam software licence, the optionally installed reversing camera automatically switches on when reversing. This dispenses with laborious switching and helps avoid dangerous situations behind the machine.
