App for a more convenient display of the field view via tablet integration

Today, many functions are controlled by an operator terminal. Besides pure machine operation, applications such as the automatic part-width section control GPS-Switch and the optical parallel guidance aid GPS-Track are added as well. Users who have relied on a single terminal in the cab until now often have to switch between the various user interfaces on the terminals. In this way, they can switch between the work menu, job management area, and map view, for example. To ensure that these switchovers are not constantly having to be carried out during work, AmaTron 4 provides a MiniView view as standard. The MiniView clearly displays the most important machine information at the bottom of the screen, even when in the map view. This MiniView view can be displayed or hidden as required.

"For those drivers who nevertheless wish to see both applications on two screens, AMAZONE now offers AmaTron Twin App, a display enhancement for the AmaTron 4 ISOBUS terminal."

The driver can use the App to conveniently display the field view on a mobile device. While the safety-relevant machine operation remains on the AmaTron 4, GPS functions can be operated in parallel via the AmaTron Twin App.

For use, a tablet is simply connected to the AmaTron 4 operator terminal via a hot spot. The terminal must have the AmaTron Twin licence for this purpose. Apart from the map view, functions such as the creation of field boundaries, track lines, a virtual headland and reference points can also be implemented. The processing of application maps and the use of part-width section control are also displayed on the mobile device. The machine in operation is clearly displayed on the tablet as a 3D model. The 8-inch display on the AmaTron 4 can then be entirely used for machine operation and verification of any machine data. Thanks to the AmaTron Twin App, the driver always has an eye on all applications on his terminal.

Field with complete route display and saved georeferenced switching points.
When moving over the switching points, labelled as pins, the machine function stored in each case is automatically activated or deactivated. Tapping on the switching point opens a menu in which the function to be activated or deactivated is marked. Water-course spreading is activated on the left-hand side here.

The GPS-ScenarioControl is an extension to the AmaTron Twin App licence, for which you will also need the AmaTron Twin App. This terminal software is for automating complex and recurring switching processes in the field.

Advantages with GPS-ScenarioControl:

  • Reduced workload by following a previously plotted scenario
  • Always the same switching processes on every pass in the field
  • Prevention of operational errors
  • Always the same route for all crop care applications in the field and thus no driving over the crop by taking a wrong turn
