XTender rear hopper

Making the best use of base fertilisers is of great importance in times of rising fertiliser prices. Placing fertiliser during a soil tillage pass is the perfect solution in making the nutrients available to the plants in the best way possible. The logistical advantages compared to applying fertiliser during sowing are also arguments in favour of fertilisation during soil tillage, especially if larger application rates are to be applied. Seed drill downtimes can thereby be avoided and the time windows for sowing used more effectively.

The XTender features a pressurised tank with a capacity of 4200 l, which can be split in a ratio of 50/50. The XTender can be equipped with either a single, or twin conveying systems, depending on whether only fertiliser or seed is to be applied or a combination of the two. Application rates from 2 to 400 kg/ha are possible.

The hopper is easily accessible via the standard supplied ladder and the well-positioned loading board. Thanks to the large hopper opening, filling is also quickly and simply achieved.

AMAZONE uses a deep-drawn hopper base. Using this deep-drawn manufacturing process means that the hopper does not have any corners, edges or welded seams. This ensures a continuous and even flow of the fertiliser and seed. The low level sensors in the left- and right-hand hopper tips monitor the fill level. The system gives a warning in the terminal as soon as the minimum fill level has been reached.

Via the 3-point linkage (Cat. 3/4N), the XTender is mounted onto the tractor with a favourable centre of gravity. The following implement is also coupled to the XTender via a standardised lower linkage. Categories 3 or 4N are available from choice. 

The optionally available active dust separator reduces the dust load in the conveyor system and increases operational reliability, especially in dry operating conditions.
