Effective weed control with the AMAZONE Venterra 1K
The AMAZONE hoe range has been extended with the new Venterra 1K in working widths of up to 4.20 metres. This lightweight all-rounder is designed for smaller farms, with tractor outputs from 60 hp and can be equipped with various parallelograms and tools thanks to its modular system. Precise row guidance systems make it easier to work with a rear mounted machine. A front mounting kit also enables cost-effective use of the Venterra 1K on the front linkage.
Customised solutions for every crop
The key component of the Venterra 1K is the parallelogram. This provides optimum tool guidance. The EKP parallelogram is available for row widths between 16 cm and 37.5 cm and can be optionally equipped with up to three hoe blades. The KPP parallelogram with up to 5 tool carrier positions is used for row spacings between 12.5 cm and 90 cm. The working depth can be infinitely adjusted and there is a generous overlap between the hoe blades.
Different types and widths of hoe blades can be selected from the modular system which can also be used in combination meaning that any requirements with regard to crops and soil conditions are met. The patented RapidoClip quick-change system allows the blades to be changed without tools in next to no time, both in the field and back in the yard.
Always on track
Damage-free hoeing of row crops requires maximum precision. The row guidance system, consisting of a camera system and an offset shift frame, ensures precise guidance of the hoe in between the crop rows or in fields on hilly terrain.
The Horus Professional camera system ensures reliable recognition of the crop based on its position or, in 3D mode, based on the height differences. Recognition can also be provided by colour selection. The in-house developed Smart Vision camera system provides reliable row guidance without manual readjustment thanks to its automatic inclination correction, even on steep slopes. Both systems control the shift frame in accordance with the forward speed. The operator can check the exact row guidance via a video image on the terminal at any time.
When working in beds, or in narrow working widths, that do not allow the camera to be positioned to the side of the tractor, the Venterra 1KL, with its extended frame, offers an optimal solution by providing a clear view of the rows of crops between the hoe frame and the shift frame.
A row sensor can be used in addition to the camera system. This is particularly suitable when using the hoe to control late weed flushes or when sowing undersown crops. In the event of strong plant movement, such as in a crosswind, the sensor systems ensure precise guidance along the plant rows.
Multiple work steps in a single pass
The Venterra 1K can be equipped with various AMAZONE application systems bringing pioneering arable farming concepts to the field. Labour and input costs can thus be reduced and sustainable management methods are promoted at the same time.
A combination of the FTender front tank and a distribution head on the hoe enables effective and efficient fertilisation of crops. Depending on the requirements, the fertiliser is applied individually to the plant row, between the plant rows or with full area coverage via baffle plates. The system is also suitable for seeding, for instance, when undersowing crops. Various trailing tool combinations are available for the incorporation process.
The RowSpray band sprayer can be used in combination with the FT-P front tank. This allows plant protection agents or liquid fertilisers to be applied in a targeted manner. The spray agent is applied precisely over the individual crop rows, while the hoe blades of the Venterra 1K mechanically remove weeds between the rows and break the capillarity at the same time.
Section Control with GPS-Switch
New standards in hoeing technology are set by means of the GPS-Switch automatic part-width section control, which raises and lowers the hoeing units hydraulically and individually. The strengths of the system are shown by the lack of damage to sensitive crops or to tall plants on the headland in wedge-shaped fields. The AmaTron 4 ISOBUS terminal provides very convenient control and can also be used in conjunction with the band sprayer.
Flexibility
The Venterra 1K has been developed as a modular system for maximum flexibility. This means that the machine can also be easily adapted to changing application techniques at a later date. Optional tools such as crop protection discs, finger hoes, ridgers and harrows can be retrofitted at any time. As the finger hoe and ridging discs are located on a separately guided parallelogram, they can adapt optimally to the ground contours in any situation.
Even increased working widths or modified row widths are easy to implement on the Venterra 1K. The frame of the Venterra 1K can be widened in just a few minutes using a folding frame extension kit. This versatility is further reflected in the mounting frame. This can be attached and removed at any time, so that even a camera-based control system can be retrofitted as and when required. It does not matter whether the implement is equipped Section Control. This saves money for the farmer and reduces weight on the field.
- Equipped with the Type M parallelograms and tools from the Venterra range, the Venterra 1K offers full operational capability and excellent results in the field in working widths from 1.3 to 4.2 m
- Convertible front and rear mounting, as well as optional equipment with a row guidance system with a control unit and shift frame which can be retrofitted without any problems
- The Venterra 1K frame can be equipped with the hydraulic folding frame extension kit as an option
- For the camera-controlled version of the Venterra 1K with shift frame, the implement is equipped with a long frame, so that the camera has enough space in front of the frame for image acquisition
- This makes it ideal for specialist crops and narrow working widths
