Condor 02 trailed seed drill
Reliability under the toughest of conditions
The Condor 02 sets new standards in tine coulter seed drills and adds numerous innovations to the established product portfolio of the successful Condor 01. It is its compactness in particular that makes the drill a flexible, precise and, at the same time, extremely efficient partner in the field - optimally adapted to the requirements of modern and future-orientated arable farming in both mulch and direct sowing.
The key feature of the Condor is the introduction of the 8 m and 9 m working widths, in combination with a significantly more compact chassis layout. This creates a unique blend of manoeuvrability and output.
Compared to the 25 cm row spacing, the optional 20 cm row spacing allows improved crop management through faster crop canopy coverage - crucial for sowing late winter crops with a high seed rate or sowing spring crops with heavy weed pressure.
ConTeC pro tine coulter – the sturdy base with new features
For the coulter system, AMAZONE continues to rely on the ConTeC pro tine coulter and leaves it unchanged. The tine coulter impresses with its simple low-maintenance design and high operational reliability. The slim profile, the long coulter clearance and the flexible mounting of the coulter arm minimise the risk of blockages and ensure a smooth passage - even with a high amount of crop residues or straw around.
Hard, dry soil surfaces are broken and organic material can pass through on either side so that the seed is reliably placed in the moist soil horizon and covered with fine soil. This special clearing effect of the ConTeC pro coulter creates an undulating seedbed that promotes water availability for the seed and protects the crop from erosion. For the hardest soils, the coulter pressure can be increased to 120 kg/coulter. The ConTeC pro tine coulter is known worldwide for its uniform seed placement and the resulting homogeneous field emergence. In combination with the optional V-Press roller, the seed furrow can be reliably closed, even on sticky soils.
A new feature is automatic coulter pressure control for hilly terrain, which ensures even coulter pressure regardless of ground conditions and contours. The contour adaptation enables a consistent placement depth of the seed and a uniform furrow closure under heterogeneous conditions.
Solutions for modern arable farming –distributor head with MultiSwitch
One significant advance is the MultiSwitch single-row control. This enables precise placement of seed and fertiliser right into the furthest corner of the field - with minimal overlap. This not only increases efficiency, but also improves sustainability and cost-effectiveness: overlaps can be reduced from around 5 % to less than 1 % of the surface area compared to half-side control. With an annual sowing area of around 1,000 ha and seed and fertiliser costs of around €150/ha, there are potential savings of up to €6,000 - simply by the reduction in overlap. A strong argument for precision-orientated and future-oriented work.
The distributor head also enables flexible switch off and on of individual rows. For example, when sowing oil seed rape or soya, every second row can be deactivated remotely from the cab in order to sow with a double row spacing and give the crops more space for lateral branching. Individual row spacings, such as double rows, can also be conveniently set from the cab.
Of course, all tramline systems, track widths and wheel widths can also be switched from the cab with the Condor 02 using the MultiSwitch single-row control system.
Multi-chamber hopper for versatile farming
The Condor 02 is ideally equipped for diverse crop rotations and the use of starter fertilisers. A pressurised, triple-chamber hopper with a capacity of 4,100 litres (50 % | 30 % | 20 %) is fitted as standard, which enables the targeted application of various seeds or seed and fertiliser. Even with high application rates, the pressurised system ensures even delivery and precise longitudinal and lateral distribution across all rows.
Sowing without ground pressure - VF tyre technology for maximum soil protection
The Condor 02 can optionally be supplied with 750 mm wide VF low-pressure tyres for ground-protecting field travel. Leading track eradicators can also equalise the influence of the tractor track on the seedbed when mulch sowing.
AMAZONE software - supporting instead of overwhelming
The Condor 02 is controlled by ISOBUS. The user-friendly AMAZONE software supports the driver with a clear interface and helpful functions such as intuitive tramline control, hopper management, remote adjustment of the distributor head and coulter pressure. The optional TwinTerminal enables calibration directly down at the Implement, even when wearing gloves - without the need to constantly climb up and down from the tractor. Precision Farming applications such as Section Control, application maps and ISOBUS tramlining are also fully integrated.
Condor 02 - experience and innovation in perfect harmony
The Condor 02 is therefore not just an evolutionary development of the Condor 01, but a genuine vehicle for technology. It combines flexibility, precision and output - ideal for farms that want to increase their efficiency and at the same time establish vital and homogeneous crops. The Condor 02 builds on the robust technology behind the 01 generation, which has proven itself and established itself worldwide and under extreme operating conditions. The new working widths of 8 m and 9 m and other numerous innovations make the Condor 02 a seed drill for effective and future-oriented agriculture.
