We mourn the death of Douglas Peccin

It was with deep shock and great sadness that we received the news of the death of Douglas Peccin, the founder and managing director of our Brazilian company MP Agro/AMAZONE, after a tragic road accident on 10th April 2026.

Douglas was more than just a business partner to us. After the acquisition of MP Agro two years ago, he became part of our AMAZONE family. He was a passionate entrepreneur, a highly dedicated managing director, a tremendous colleague – and, for many of us, a personal friend. His open-mindedness, his warmth, his beliefs and his unwavering commitment decisively shaped MP Agro and touched the lives of many people. 

The loss is particularly hard on his family. Douglas leaves behind his wife Heloisa and two children. Our thoughts are with them today. We send them our heartfelt condolences and our deepest sympathy. We are grateful for the time we had together, the trust which Douglas placed in us and for his life's work, which he built up with love and passion. We will continue to develop MP Agro as he would have wished, accept responsibility and preserve the values which Douglas stood for. 

We will miss Douglas Peccin as a human being, entrepreneur and friend. We will cherish his memory.
