Cobra-2TX trailed shallow cultivator

For seedbed preparation for maize or sugar beet, the Cobra can also be equipped with a harrow in addition to a large number of the rollers. The following harrow creates a very fine-crumbled soil surface structure and thus the perfect germination conditions for the following crops. An additional advantage when using the harrow is the optimised straw distribution.

The double harrow and duckfoot shares are the ideal combination for mechanical weed control and shallow soil tillage. The Cobra works at a shallow working depth and cuts the weeds off across the full working width. The following double harrow pulls out the weeds without any further reconsolidation. Weeds and volunteer cereals lie exposed on the soil surface and are dried out by the sun.

Advantages of the Cobra double harrow: 

• Hydraulic adjustment of the inclination of the harrow tines from the cab 
• The harrows pull out the volunteer cereals and weeds and bring them to the surface 
• Vibration of the harrow tines separates the soil from the roots 
• The sun dries out volunteer cereals and weeds Reduction in the weed pressure without the use of herbicides
• Additional straw distribution and levelling behind the combine harvester

Double harrow system
Changing from a packer roller to a double harrow is quick and easy, as the frames are secured via clamps to enable a quick-change system (1).

A wide range of following rollers for reconsolidating the soil are available for all AMAZONE cultivators. Decide which roller suits your farm best!

Standard roller bearing

All following rollers on AMAZONE cultivators are equipped with bolt-on bearing shafts. This keeps repair work to a minimum in the case of bearing damage.

HD roller bearings

The HD bearing can be selected as an option for all trailed TX implements. 

• Extreme service life thanks to a metallic face seal 
• Completely maintenance-free with life-long lubrication thanks to the gear oil filling 
• Robust and hard-wearing due to a spherical roller bearing instead of a ball bearing 
• Ideal for high forward speeds and stony conditions
