BBG Bodenbearbeitungsgeräte Leipzig GmbH & Co. KG
The non-inverting soil tillage machines, such as disc harrows and cultivators, the hoeing technology and the UG trailed sprayer are produced at the Amazone subsidiary BBG Bodenbearbeitungsgeräte Leipzig GmbH & Co. KG. BBG has been a 100 % subsidiary of Amazonen-Werke H. Dreyer SE & Co. KG and a member of the corporate group since 1998.
Like the compact disc harrows, mulch cultivators and reversible ploughs, the UG crop protection sprayers built at BBG have gained an excellent reputation among customers in Germany and in more than 70 countries around the world. In addition to the machines from Leipzig, active soil tillage machines and seed drills, precision air seeders, fertiliser spreaders and crop protection sprayers form part of the Amazone Group‘s product range. On the basis of these core competences, Amazone is regarded as one of the world's leading manufacturers of complete process chains covering all aspects of "intelligent crop production".
A test facility where the Amazone soil tillage machines undergo a rigorous durability test is located directly beside the factory. Lecture events, training and seminars for customers and sales partners from all over the world take place in the Amazone Active Centre on the factory premises.
Exact tests for the Amazone 3C concept have also been carried out in the direct vicinity of the factory site on the Agrarprodukte Kitzen e.G. farm over an area of 75 hectares since the year 2000. A total of approx. 770 hectares is available for Amazone trials here.
