©plus - Hardening procedure of AMAZONE - The knowledge for heat treatment of wear parts
Since Vogel & Noot was taken over in 2016, AMAZONE has been able to offer a complete plough range, from a 2-furrow mounted plough to an 8-furrow semi-mounted plough. Following the acquisition of the accumulated technical knowledge of plough-related issues from Vogel & Noot, their knowledge regarding the production of highly resistant wear parts for plough bodies was also incorporated.
Continual advances in materials and production technology as well as our expertise in heat treatment are the basis for achieving the highest possible quality of our wear parts for ploughs. The high hardness levels of the genuine AMAZONE wear parts is achieved by using carbon. In its purest form, diamond, this is the hardest naturally occurring substance. Adding carbon makes the ©plus wear parts much harder and more durable.
AMAZONE uses a unique hardening process to achieve a very high level of hardness on the front of components, such as the shin, to produce the optimum resistance to wear. The back remains relatively soft but at the same time extremely tough and impact resistant. In addition to wear parts, Vogel & Noot customers can also obtain spare parts for their older machines from AMAZONE. AMAZONE offers spare parts for the Vogel & Noot models built between the year 2000 and the present day. Components for machines built before the year 2000 can also be supplied on request.
