The cost-efficient self-propelled sprayer with a 3,500 l tank and fill level management

Grafik Seite 119 unten
The operator terminal controls the liquid circuit. Only when the fill level of the rear mounted sprayer reaches the 30 % mark is the spray agent pumped from the front tank to the rear.

AMAZONE has offered the FT 1001 front tank for several years with great success. The range has now been extended by the introduction of the FT 1502. With the FT 1502 front tank, the tank capacity of the UF 02 mounted sprayer can very easily be extended by 1,500 l. A UF 2002, in combination with a FT 1502, therefore has a tank capacity of 3,500 l. The optional FlowControl+ and the compact design make the front tank an ideal solution for extending the capacity of the UF 02.

Thoughtful design for maximum safety
In the yard or in the barn: The compact combination, carried on its transport wheels, stores easily away. Its easy handling will convince you that, after just a few applications, this product is right for you. The internal cleaning of the sprayer combination utilises the contents of the fresh water tank of the UF. The 350 l fresh water tank of the UF 02 facilitates its thorough cleaning.

The compact sprayer-tractor unit has many advantages during transport, particularly on narrow village roads. The well-thought out design of the machine gives a clear view despite the front tank. The AMAZONE FT 1502 complies with all relevant EU traffic safety directives and standards.

An optional road lighting kit is needed if the lighting system of the tractor is obscured. The obscured low beam headlights on the tractor must be replicated on the tractor roof.

FlowControl+ fill level management
The special feature of the FT 1502 is the 100 % integration of the front tank into the mounted sprayer using the FlowControl+ electronic fill level management via an ISOBUS terminal. The technical basis for the FlowControl+ is the two electronic fill level sensors in the front tank and the rear tank and two high-performance venturis. These are powered by an additional 150 l/min pump on the UF. The transfer rate in each direction is up to 200 l/min. Continuous transfer pumping between the front and rear tanks ensures that the spray agent is always ideally mixed. The ISOBUS terminal automatically controls the liquid circuit, so that the weight distribution is always kept at the optimum. Premature reduction of the load on the front axle is prevented. FlowControl+ further ensures that both tanks are automatically filled during the filling process and emptied during the spraying process. Both tanks are cleaned out at the end.

Manual control also makes it possible to switch off the FlowControl+ automatic function and so use the front tank only for transporting additional flushing water or usable water for subsequent spraying. The FlowControl+ pump provides additional practical support during the filling process of the UF 02, so that a maximum fill speed of up to 400 l/min is possible with the overall combination.

An interesting alternative to a self-propelled sprayer
The combination of a UF 2002 and a FT 1502 wrapped around a modern tractor and with a tank capacity of up to 3,500 l can provide an interesting alternative to a self-propelled sprayer. The advantages of this self-propelled combination are the price and the additional use of the tractor for other work.

Fronttanksystem für Anbaufeldspritzen UF

The particular advantage of using a highly manoeuvrable tractors equipped with a mounted implement rather than using a trailed sprayers is its performance in small and irregular shaped fields as well as the safe handling on sloping ground. And these are both good arguments for a front tank solution. But, in the 3,500 litre self-propelled class, a comfortable tractor with a high-quality combination of mounted sprayer and front tank can be an interesting alternative.

Amazone RoTeC coulters – in use more than 1.5 million over

An Amazone innovation enjoys a very special anniversary with 1.5 million RoTeC single disc coulters now in use. And, at the standard row spacings of between 12.5 cm and 16.6 cm, this would correspond to a total working width of over 200 kilometres! The RoTeC coulter shows its strengths particularly under difficult mulch sowing conditions – when, for example, dealing with large quantities of crop residues and on damp, heavy and sticky soils.
