Work starts on the new factory at Bramsche

In the Schleptrup industrial area near Bramsche, Amazonen-Werke has started on the build of its new production facility. The official initiation took place on August 31st, 2017 with a symbolic ground-breaking ceremony. Even though the rain poured down, it did not spoil the enthusiasm and amongst the guests present was County Commissioner for Osnabrück district, Dr. Michael Lübbersmann as well as Heiner Pahlmann, Town Mayor of Bramsche.

The new building is being erected on a site which covers an area of, in total, 24 hectares which the Amazone-Group bought from the town of Bramsche in 2016. As the development works by the town are at an advanced stage, Amazone is building here, in this first stage, a range of assembly and storage halls with a floor area totalling 16,000 m² along with an administration building. The level of investment for this initial construction project amounts to around 16 million Euros.

Christian Dreyer thanked the town of Bramsche for its loyal cooperation: “We are glad that, in addition to our factories in Gaste and Leeden, we are able to further extend our production capacities here in Bramsche because we need more space to fulfil the increasing demand for our machinery. So, our investment in this site is an important part of the Amazone growth strategy.”

As soon as the new buildings are ready, the final assembly of the Amazone UX trailed sprayers will be transferred over to Bramsche, from where they will then be delivered worldwide. For these machines, in boom widths of up to 40 m, the new large halls will offer the perfect assembly conditions. The new site is conveniently located next to the A1 motorway and, with a distance of just 25 kilometres by road it has a close connection to the Amazone headquarters in Hasbergen-Gaste.
