Prior to the FIMA exhibition, which runs from 20th - 24th February in Zaragoza/Spain, Amazone has been given an award for innovation for the new ContourControl boom guidance with SwingStop pro for crop protection sprayers. Here it has been recognised by an independent expert jury as an “Outstanding technical innovation” in the category “Agricultural Machinery Solution”.

The innovation SwingStop pro ensures an even more precise boom guidance for modern crop protection sprayers. SwingStop pro combines the active SwingStop movement damping with a new nozzle system, which operates using the principle of pulse width frequency modulation (PWFM). With the aid of software and acceleration sensors, SwingStop pro calculates, in real time, the relative speed of each individual nozzle, relates it to the forward speed of the sprayer and variably adjusts the relevant application rate in milliseconds. In this way, any change in rate, caused by horizontal movements of the sprayer boom, can be compensated for, resulting in, up until now, an unrivalled application accuracy across the entire working width of the sprayer.

Farming Agricula S.A., the Amazone importer for Spain, will present, on its approximately 1,800 m² exhibition stand (Hall 8, Stand C-G/11-20), 15 Amazone machines and models in total. The visitors’ interest will be possibly focused mainly on the most up-to-date Amazone innovations, including, in addition to SwingStop Pro, the Catros XL compact disc harrow, the Cataya gravity pack top seed drill and the Cayros mounted reversible plough with different share versions.
