Opening of the new production hall at Eurotechnika AG in Samara

The day was January 31st, 2017 and, after just one year in construction, the grand opening of a new production hall was held at the Amazone subsidiary, Eurotechnica AG, in Samara/Russia. V. N. Smirnow, general director of Eurotechnica AG, was pleased to welcome numerous guests of honour, among them N. I. Merkuschkin, the Governor of the Samara Oblast

The new production hall, with a floor area of 2,200 m², will serve as assembly hall for the Primera DMC, Citan and Condor seed drills as well as for the Catros disc harrows. Additionally, the component and spare parts store has been expanded and modernised and the welding and assembly halls significantly enlarged. This new building is part of an investment programme in which the Amazone Group invests round about 200 million Roubles in the expansion and intensification of the production capacity at Eurotechnika.

This programme also includes, from 2016, a newly-built high capacity painting facility. At this facility, following pre-cleaning, rinsing and zinc phosphate pre-treatments, a new powder coating procedure is utilised which significantly improves the coat quality of the agricultural machinery treated. Thanks to this new facility, 60,000 m² more machine surface area per year can be painted. It is also now possible to paint agricultural machinery with large hoppers and working widths of up to 15 m.

Since 1998, Amazonen-Werke has manufactured at their Russian subsidiary, Eurotechnika AG in Samara, in accordance with the technical criteria of the government regulation RF No. 1432. Eurotechnica AG is recognised as a Russian manufacturer with the rating of the Russian agricultural machinery manufacturers association “Rosagromasch” AG as a producer of non-self-propelled agricultural machinery.
