Whether shallow or deep – always fast and intensive

Amazone: Die große Kompaktscheibenegge Certos TX

The disc diameter on compact disc harrows is of significant influence on the working depth and the quality of work. For the front row, the very large 660 mm diameter serrated discs on the Certos-2TX are set especially aggressively at an angle of 22 degree, resulting not only in an excellent working performance even in heavy soils but also in an increased undercut.

Certos discs – for medium-deep soil tillage

Certos-Scheiben – für die mitteltiefe Bodenbearbeitung

The 660 mm diameter Certos discs are especially well suited for medium-deep and intensive soil tillage down to 20 cm. Due to the large diameter discs, the incorporation of copious amounts of maize stubble, sunflower residues, catch crops or tilled grassland is no problem. Furthermore the Certos discs work ideally also under extreme conditions such as on hard and dry soils.
+ Working depths of 7 cm to 20 cm
+ Thickness of disc 5 mm/disc diameter 660 mm/coarse serrated
+ Good penetration also on heavy soils due to a high gross weight
+ Deeper, more intensive mode of operation when renovating pasture land

Integrated centre running gear

Amazone: Die große Kompaktscheibenegge Certos TX

The integrated centre running gear, equipped with 550/45-11.5 or 400/60-22.5 tyres ensures an excellent manoeuvrability of the machine, both in the field and on the road. The position of the running gear guarantees good weight distribution and allows the use of all AMAZONE following rollers - this means the most suitable following roller depending on the soil conditions can be utilised. To avoid any rocking of the machine, the Certos-2TX is equipped as standard with a drawbar shock absorbance system whereby the pressure is matched ccording to the prevailing situation.

Hydraulic top brace belt

Hydraulischer Obergurt

For compensating against any possible diagonal pull of the machine, the Certos can be equipped with the additional hydraulic top brace. The additional cylinder at the rear of the machine allows the simple and very sensitive correction of the machine. Via a double-acting spool valve, the machine can be optimally matched from the tractor cab. Especially for when working on slopes, the top brace is of huge benefit.

Fast and manoeuvrable and with plenty of potential!

Amazone Scheibenegge Catros+-2TX mit Mittelfahrwerk, Straßentransport

Both the bogey chassis and the centre running gear provide all trailed disc harrows with a high manoeuvrability and excellent driving behaviour in transport. Quickly folded to a 3 m transport width, all the trailed compact disc harrows are also exceptionally safe on the road.
When equipped with an air braking system, all trailed compact disc harrows are permitted to travel at 40 km/h.*

* Please observe country-specific traffic regulations!

Outstandingly low fuel consumption

With the Catros compact disc harrow, operational speeds of 12 km/h to 18 km/h are achieved problem-free, enabling outstandingly high work rates and reducing the operational time to a minimum. Important, however, for economic success, are both the fuel, and the wear and tear costs.

In order to determine reliable figures for these costs AMAZONE has carried out trials in collaboration with the DLG test centre in Gross-Umstadt. In all the tests, the Catros compact disc harrows proved to be extremely fuel efficient. So when stubble cultivating at a medium working depth of about 6 cm – depending on soil type and ground topography – an approximate fuel consumption of only 4 l/ha was measured. Similarly favourable were the consumption figures during seedbed preparation.

No lubrication ever again – thanks to the maintenance-free disc bearings

Amazone Kompaktscheibenegge Catros - Beste Abdichtung für Lager

With no need to lubricate the disc bearings, this results in a significantly reduced overall maintenance time. Face seals have been used for decades in road construction equipment where the rollers on the running gear of caterpillar-tracked vehicles have to be effectively sealed and continue to work absolutely reliably under the toughest of operational conditions.

Oversized disc bearings

Due to their even bigger outer diameter, the disc bearings on all Catros over 4 m, the CatrosXL and the Certos-2TX are even more robustly dimensioned. Due to the robust design, maintenance-work and running costs are again kept to a minimum and long life times are guaranteed even under the most arduous operational conditions.

Perfect contour following – individually suspended discs

Catros Scheibenaufhängung

On all models, whether a Catros, Catros+, CatrosXL or Certos, each individual disc is suspended from the frame on elastic sprung rubber elements which is much better than machines with rigid disc suspension. Every concave disc can individually follow the ground contours, so that not only are the tracks filled up, but they are actually worked up, ensuring an evenly shallow soil tillage operation even with prevailing undulations on the soil surface. At the same time, by suspending each individual disc it allows the optimum passage of large amounts of organic matter in comparison to machines where the discs are mounted in pairs.

Safe and absolutely maintenance free

Sicher und absolut wartungsfrei

The sprung rubber mountings allow for the optimum adaptation of the concave discs to the soil surface. The large diameter of the rubber buffer blocks gives a high spring pressure to prevent impact.
